Carolina Therapeutics’ clinicians are on-site every day, working with After-School Therapy clients both individually and in small groups. Our special needs after-school program is open to both CTA students and non-CTA students – everyone eligible for services is welcome to apply! We are proud to serve as a resource for families in Rock Hill, Tega Cay, Fort Mill, and Indian Land in South Carolina, and throughout the Charlotte, NC metro area.

Therapeutic Services
We implement individualized treatment plans because every child and family has unique needs and goals. At our After-School Therapy and Enrichment program, clients have the benefit of one-on-one attention from their clinician team and also enjoy the opportunity to complete activities with their peers – often a rare opportunity for children with special needs. Unlike traditional programs, CTA allows special needs students to stretch and grow in an inclusive and supportive environment.
ABA Therapy
Supports the development of helpful and productive behaviors, and helps to decrease those that are harmful or adversely affect learning. Therapy typically results in improved cognitive, language, social, and self-care skills.
Speech Therapy
Supports those who have difficulties with producing speech sounds, language comprehension and use, social communication, reading, and feeding/swallowing. Services are provided by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists.
Occupational Therapy
Supports children with fine/visual-motor, sensory processing, and executive functioning challenges. Services are provided by Registered & Licensed Occupational Therapists or Certified OT Assistants.
Physical Therapy
Supports children with gross motor delays, upper/ lower motor extremity weakness and coordination, mobility, and range of motion, or needed gait training. Some need PT short term, others engage in lifelong therapy.
Candidates for Therapy
Most often, those who benefit from ABA Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, and/or Occupational Therapy have one or more diagnoses, including:

Qualifiers for After-School Therapy
To qualify for After-School Therapy, children must be:
- Eligible for therapy services from Carolina Therapeutics (CT)
- Approved for attendance through CT pre-screening evaluation and assessment
